1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using DashCSV ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

These Terms apply to all versions of DashCSV, including the macOS application available through the Apple App Store. Your continued use of the App after any update to these Terms constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

If you are using the App on behalf of an organization, you represent that you are authorized to bind that organization to these Terms.

2. Not Financial Advice

DashCSV is a personal finance tracking and portfolio visualization tool. It does not provide investment advice, financial advice, tax advice, legal advice, or any other professional advice.

Nothing in the App, on this website, or in any related communications constitutes a recommendation to buy, sell, hold, or otherwise transact in any security, financial instrument, or investment product. All information displayed by the App — including portfolio values, gain/loss calculations, market data, and performance metrics — is presented for informational and organizational purposes only.

You should not make investment decisions based solely on information provided by the App. You are strongly encouraged to consult a qualified financial advisor, broker, tax professional, or attorney before making any investment or financial decision.

3. Third-Party Data and Accuracy

DashCSV may display market data, price quotes, financial metrics, and other information sourced from third-party data providers, including Alpha Vantage, Tiingo, Massive (Polygon.io), and Financial Modeling Prep (FMP). These data providers are independent of DashCSV.

We make no representation or warranty regarding the accuracy, completeness, timeliness, or reliability of any data displayed in the App. Market data may be delayed, incorrect, incomplete, or unavailable due to factors beyond our control, including provider outages, API limitations, network conditions, and market disruptions.

• Price quotes may be delayed and do not reflect real-time market conditions.
• Historical data, calculations, and analytics are provided "as is" without warranty.
• Portfolio values and gain/loss figures are estimates based on the data you have imported and the market data available — they may not reflect actual account balances at your broker.
• Dividend, earnings, and event data may be inaccurate or incomplete.

You are solely responsible for verifying any information displayed by the App against authoritative sources (such as your broker's official statements) before taking any action.

4. No Warranty

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE EXPRESSLY DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

• WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT;
• WARRANTIES THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS;
• WARRANTIES REGARDING THE ACCURACY, COMPLETENESS, OR TIMELINESS OF ANY INFORMATION DISPLAYED;
• WARRANTIES THAT DEFECTS WILL BE CORRECTED.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of implied warranties. In such jurisdictions, the foregoing exclusions apply to the extent permitted by law.

5. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL THE DEVELOPER OF DASHCSV, ITS AFFILIATES, LICENSORS, OR SERVICE PROVIDERS BE LIABLE FOR ANY:

• INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES;
• LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, BUSINESS, OR GOODWILL;
• INVESTMENT LOSSES OR FINANCIAL DAMAGES OF ANY KIND ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR RELIANCE ON THE APP OR ANY INFORMATION IT DISPLAYS;
• DAMAGES RESULTING FROM INACCURATE, DELAYED, OR UNAVAILABLE MARKET DATA;
• DAMAGES RESULTING FROM UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS TO OR ALTERATION OF YOUR DATA;
• ANY OTHER PECUNIARY LOSS,

WHETHER BASED ON WARRANTY, CONTRACT, TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE), STATUTE, OR ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY, AND WHETHER OR NOT WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGE.

TO THE EXTENT LIABILITY CANNOT BE FULLY EXCLUDED UNDER APPLICABLE LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE APP SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE APP IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain liability exclusions or limitations. In such jurisdictions, the limitations above apply to the extent permitted by law. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including liability for fraud or personal injury caused by negligence.

6. Your Sole Responsibility

You acknowledge and agree that:

• You are solely responsible for all investment and financial decisions you make, regardless of any information displayed by the App.
• You bear full responsibility for verifying data accuracy before acting on it.
• You are responsible for understanding the tax implications of your investment activity. DashCSV does not provide tax reporting and its calculations should not be used as a substitute for official tax documents or professional tax advice.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device, your API keys, and your portfolio data.
• You are responsible for the accuracy of any data you import into the App, including CSV files from your broker.
• You are responsible for complying with the terms of service of any third-party data provider whose API key you configure in the App.

7. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless the developer of DashCSV from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or relating to:

• Your use of the App;
• Your violation of these Terms;
• Any investment or financial decision you make based on information displayed by the App;
• Your violation of any third-party rights, including third-party data provider terms of service;
• Any data you import into the App.

8. Intellectual Property

DashCSV and all content, features, and functionality of the App are owned by the developer and are protected by intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for your personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the App, nor reverse engineer or attempt to extract the source code of the App, unless laws prohibit those restrictions or you have written permission.

9. Apple App Store Additional Terms

If you obtained DashCSV through the Apple App Store, the following additional terms apply:

• These Terms are between you and the developer of DashCSV only, not with Apple Inc. Apple is not responsible for the App or its content.
• Apple has no obligation to furnish any maintenance or support services for the App.
• In the event of any product liability, consumer protection, privacy, or intellectual property claim relating to the App, DashCSV (not Apple) is responsible for addressing such claims.
• Apple and Apple's subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and have the right to enforce them against you.
• Your use of the App is also subject to Apple's App Store Terms of Service, which are incorporated herein by reference.

These Terms do not limit any rights you have under mandatory consumer protection laws in your jurisdiction that cannot be waived by contract.

10. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict of law principles.

Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the App shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If a dispute cannot be resolved through negotiation, it shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in California.

If you are a consumer resident in a jurisdiction with mandatory local consumer protection laws, nothing in these Terms affects your rights under those laws.

11. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect. The invalid or unenforceable provision will be deemed modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid and enforceable.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. For material changes, we will make reasonable efforts to provide notice (such as a notice within the App or on this website).

Your continued use of the App after any changes to these Terms constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the revised Terms, you must stop using the App.
